The supervision of the Awoshie – Pokuase road works and  detailed design and supervision of community upgrading works was one of the components of the AwoshiePokuase Road and Community Development Project implemented by the Government of Ghana.

The project involved the detailed design and supervision of 14.5km of secondary roads, 33km of water pipelines and 4.3km of storm drain as well as the supervision of 15km of dual carriageway.

M/S Louis Berger/ Transtech Consult JV was engaged by the Client, the Ministry of Roads and Highways through the Department of Urban Roads, to provide design and construction supervision services which included:

1. Detailed Engineering Studies, including traffic,  geotechnical and social and environmental impact studies
2.  Design of infrastructure including geometric design, design of  drainage systems
3.  Preparation  of an Environmental and Social Management Plan including gender assessment for  the proposed civil works;
4.  Tender Assistance and Construction Supervision of the works
5. Construction Supervision of the works
